Bedding, sofas, and clutter trap heat around batteries and chargers, increasing overheating and fire risk.
Charging under a pillow, on bedding, or inside a pile of clothes.
Use the correct charger on a firm dry surface, keep it uncovered, and disconnect it after charging.
If there is smoke, sparking, swelling, strong odour, or dangerous heat, switch off power if safe, move away, and call 999 for fire.
