Microwaves heat unevenly and can create hot spots that burn a baby's mouth even when the bottle feels cool.
Microwave the whole bottle and feed immediately without checking the milk temperature.
Use the agreed bottle warmer or warm-water method, mix well, and test drops on the inner wrist.
For a mouth burn, persistent distress, drooling, or refusal to swallow, stop feeding and seek urgent help; call 999 if severe.
