Remove exterior grease and clean only a model-approved washable filter
Stop cooking, let the hob and hood cool, then switch off and isolate power as the model manual directs. Remove only a grease filter the manual identifies as user-removable and washable; do not dismantle charcoal filters, the fan, motor, or internal guards.

Stop cooking and let the hob, lamps, and hood cool completely. Confirm the filter type, removal method, and washing limits.

Turn off the hood and wall switch as directed; if it has an accessible plug, hold the plug rather than pulling the cord.

Remove cookware and food, then place a non-slip drip mat on the cool, dry hob.

Support it with both hands and release only the user-removable metal grease filter. Stop for sharp edges, resistance, or uncertainty.

Put a little mild cleaner on a wrung soft cloth and wipe gently. Do not spray buttons, lamps, seams, or openings.

Use warm water, mild detergent, and a soft brush as the manual allows. Clean both sides without bending the mesh.

Rinse away detergent and let the filter drain and dry fully. Dry the exterior and seams too.

Install the dry filter in its original direction. Confirm latches and oil cup are secure and remove tools before restoring power.
