Separate by purpose; the exact colours are optional
Keep cloths for food and kitchen areas, bathroom, toilet and general home cleaning separate so dirt is not moved between zones. Colour is only one recognition aid; no particular colour set is a universal household rule. The employer should define the actual system.

At minimum consider food or kitchen, bathroom, toilet and general home areas. Add real household needs without forcing a fixed colour scheme.

Use each cloth only for its named zone or task. Identify it by colour, shape tag or separate storage and have the employer confirm the system.

Work from cleaner to dirtier surfaces. If a cloth falls on the floor or touches a toilet or clear contamination, do not move it to another surface.

Keep used and clean cloths apart and wash according to fabric and cleaning-product labels. Never mix cleaning chemicals.

Open cloths out to dry and return them to the correct clean storage only when fully dry. Replace damaged, smelly or uncleanable cloths under the household rule.
