Chemical safety

Close and lock away cleaners immediately after each use

After each cleaning step, close the original cap and return the product to a locked cupboard; do not wait until the whole job is finished.

Critical safety ruleChemical safetySource checked: 2026-08-20
An open cleaner bottle left on the bathroom floor on the left and the capped original bottle locked in a high cupboard on the right

Why it matters

A bottle left briefly on the floor, beside a toilet, or on an unattended trolley can still be reached, spilled, or swallowed by a child.

Wrong action

Leaving an open product on the floor, a low shelf, or an unattended trolley during cleaning.

Correct action

Take out one needed product, close it after use, check for drips, and return it to locked storage before the next step.

What to do

  1. Before starting, confirm there is space in the locked cleaning cupboard.
  2. After each product, tighten its original cap and wipe any drips.
  3. Return it to the locked cupboard before starting the next step.

If something happens

For exposure or ingestion, keep the original bottle and label and do not induce vomiting. Seek medical help; call 999 for breathing difficulty or unconsciousness.
