How to Clean a Child Lunch Box and Water Bottle
Empty promptly, disassemble as directed, wash, rinse and dry fully
Overview
Lunch-box dividers, bottle lids, straws and removable gaskets can trap food and moisture. Empty them promptly and remove only maker-approved parts. Wash and rinse each part, then dry everything completely before correct reassembly and storage.

Cleaning steps
Empty and separate promptly
Discard leftover food and drink and rinse away loose residue. Keep the lunch box, bottle and wash area separate from raw-meat preparation.
Disassemble as directed
Remove dividers, lid, straw and any gasket the maker permits. Note the gasket direction; do not scratch it with a sharp tool or force a fixed seal out.
Wash every food-contact part
Use compatible dish detergent, clean water and a soft sponge. Brush the bottle interior and base and pass a suitable straw brush through the straw.
Clean lid channels and gasket
Use a soft brush around lid channels, threads, spout and both sides of a removable gasket. Do not assume every part can go in a dishwasher or soak.
Rinse and air-dry completely
Rinse away detergent and loosened soil from every part. Space parts apart on a clean rack with openings draining and airflow until fully dry.
Reassemble and inspect
Refit the gasket, straw and lid in the original orientation only when dry. Check the seal with clean water; replace a distorted, cracked or persistently mouldy part.
