How to Clean a Robot Vacuum Bin, Brushes and Sensors
A practical sequence from “Power off and disconnect” to “Clean permitted surfaces”
Overview
A robot vacuum has a bin, brushes, filter and sensors that need model-specific care. Power it off and remove it from the dock, clean only user-serviceable parts, and refit them only when fully dry.
Tools needed
- Soft dry cloth
- Slightly damp microfibre cloth
- One compatible cleaning product
- Clean water
- Ventilated drying place
Cleaning steps
Power off and disconnect
Switch off as the model directs, unplug or remove it from the dock, and wait for moving parts to stop.
Remove user-serviceable parts
Take out only the bin, tank, brush or accessory the manual says residents may clean.
Clear dry debris and tangles
Use a dry cloth or small brush for hair and dust; do not pull sharp tangles with bare fingers.
Dry, refit and run the normal check
Refit the bin, filter and brushes only when dry, then test by the maker method.
